- Insurance Coverage
If you live in the U.S., Vitassium may be covered by your insurance. Some insurance companies may reimburse you for the cost of Vitassium with a prescription from your doctor because it is considered a Medical Food Product.
You may need documentation in order to receive reimbursement. A letter of medical necessity (LOMN) is a document signed by your health care provider, which explains why your provider recommended a specific treatment or product. It demonstrates that your expense is for a medical reason — and not just general health. It may be required to receive reimbursement or medical food coverage for products like Vitassium.
You can also check with your HSA/FSA administrator if medical foods are covered under your specific plan.
- Pay Later Options
Vitassium is now offering a PayPal Pay in 4 option. Pay in 4 is an interest-free installment loan through PayPal that lets you split your purchase into four repayments, with the down payment due at the time of the transaction and three subsequent repayments made every 15 days thereafter. Eligibility depends on your state of residence, age, and activity on your PayPal account. Choose to apply for Pay in 4 at checkout through PayPal to determine your eligibility.
