Vitassium Introduces Electrolyte DrinkMix for People Living with POTS and Other Chronic Conditions

Vitassium DrinkMix

A ready-to-mix powder, Vitassium DrinkMix offers more options for people who can benefit from extra sodium intake

As part of Dysautonomia Awareness month, Vitassium is announcing the launch of DrinkMix, a ready-to-mix electrolyte powder available in two delicious flavors—Fruit Punch and Pink Lemonade.

Specifically formulated to support people living with chronic illness, Vitassium provides sodium and potassium to help manage symptoms of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Vasovagal Syncope, and other chronic conditions. Often, boosting electrolytes can ease common symptoms of these conditions, such as lightheadedness and fatigue, by increasing blood volume.

Many forms of sodium supplementation can be harsh on the stomach, and in 2016, Vitassium launched as a flavorless capsule that relies on buffered electrolytes to help reduce stomach upset. The brand expanded in early 2022 with the introduction of Vitassium FastChews—quick-absorbing, chewable tablets that provide a tasty, on-the-go option for those in need of extra sodium intake.

Now, Vitassium DrinkMix offers an additional way for people living with certain chronic illnesses to consume electrolytes their doctor recommends. One serving of Vitassium DrinkMix contains 500 mg of sodium and 100 mg of potassium, and can be mixed with water and consumed throughout the day. DrinkMix is vegan, gluten-free, and it does not contain any of the top 9 food allergens*, preservatives, artificial dyes, or GMO ingredients.

Unlike most other electrolyte options, Vitassium is classified as a medical food, meaning it is formulated for the specific dietary management of certain diseases or conditions that can benefit from increased salt intake. Vitassium does not require a prescription, but it is recommended that Vitassium be consumed under the guidance of a doctor, who can help determine how much extra salt and fluid intake is right for each person’s unique situation.

“We launched Vitassium DrinkMix directly in response to our community—the number one requested product we got was to create a ‘drinkable’ version of Vitassium. We’re so excited we can now make it available,” said Stacey Greenberg, brand manager of Vitassium, and mom of two children who live with POTS.

Anyone living with a chronic condition, as well as caregivers, can purchase Vitassium for 25% off by becoming a member of the Vitassium Club. The club is free to join and offers free shipping for orders above $50, as well as regular updates on the latest research and company information.

Fruit Punch and Pink Lemonade flavors are available in two sizes: 35-serving tubs bottles and single-serve stick packets.
